About the Event
Sleep is something that we should all take more seriously. Our circadian rhythm makes the body and soul rejuvenate when we sleep. Â "The natural cycle of physical, mental, and behavior changes that the body goes through in a 24-hour cycle." Think of the circadian rhythm as your body clock. When that clock is off, we can experience trouble falling asleep, staying asleep, or waking up several times a night. Â
Sleep disturbances can be caused by our environment, lifestyle, psychosocial concerns, sleep disorders, and medications. "Short-term consequences of sleep disruption include increased stress responsivity; somatic problems; reduced quality of life (QoL); emotional distress; mood disorders and other mental health problems; cognition, memory, and performance deficits; and behavior problems in otherwise healthy individuals. Sleep disruption may also diminish the health-related quality of life (HRQoL) of children and adolescents with underlying medical conditions" (Medic et al., 2017, para. 13).
Let me coach you for five days to help you establish good sleep hygiene.Â
